Today we delivered donation shoes to
The Village Family Services in North Hollywood, California.
For 20 years, The Village Family Service’s mission has been to protect children from abuse, preserve families, and build a stronger, safer community for all
. The Village accomplishes its mission through the following three major initiatives: Ending Youth Homelessness, Foster Care and Adoptions, and Integrated Behavioral Health. As the Service Planning Area 2’s lead agency for the Youth Coordinated Entry System, the Village provides comprehensive services to help foster transition aged youth and homeless youth via a Drop-in Center, where youth receive individualized case management, housing navigation services, placement into supportive housing, specialized therapeutic services, and participate in empowerment programs. The Village has a network of hundreds of caring and compassionate foster families and is responsible for placing more than 600 foster children into loving homes each year. Trauma-informed care is the foundation of all programs and services provide at The Village, which offers a full spectrum of recovery and wellness programs to help struggling children, youth, and families live happier, more fulfilling lives. The Village Family Services envisions a day where all children and youth are free of social, emotional, verbal and physical harm!
